International Screenings

Another exciting development, is that I’ve started screening my films at international film festivals. It all started with Blank Canvas screening at the Open Eyes Film Festival in Malawi. This was an especially unique opportunity because a series of short films, focused on the theme of world health, played in a remote village called Kudzidalira. For many people in the village, they were some of the first films they had ever seen.

Blank Canvas also screened at the Paris Lesbian and Feminist Film Festival, and most recently the London Feminist Film Festival, where it took home the prize for Best Short Film. Though I wish I could have personally represented my films at all these events, its amazing to think that my work is getting out there in the world in such a big way. lfff2
